Ok, I've always had an issue with men who complain about paying child support...'But I take care of my child"..etc etc. But I feel as though it shouldn't be an issue...if you do indeed take care of and support your child then what is the problem. I fully understand a woman putting her 'baby daddy' (i hate that phrase) on child support...it doesn't matter how much in the child's life a man is lets be real the mother takes on the brunt of the responsibility (if the child lives with her.). From providing shelter, to clothing, to food, etc.
I just get annoyed when I hear men complain about...i dunno maybe its just me..

not necessarily true, most ppl i know give their child's mother for these things. I think the problem is someone telling them how much they have to pay. Some expenses change for the month so why should they "overpay". But IMO opinion nowadays it makes some bms' lazy tthey get food stamps and section 8 and you pay child support and your child see none of it.. So the taxpayers are providing shelter and food. the father is providing extra cash. ========================

plus child support isnnt enforced on women. I know of three cases where men have went to court and filed for child support and the judge has dismissed their claims. I know a case where the chick left the baby with my boy and took off and he cant get support ========================

This is an unfair generalization with the opinion of child support. Now there are some folks who do whine about child support because they simply do not want forced financial responsibility...but some of the fathers dealing with child support are being shafted by the courts and the mother of their child(ren). Some are just outraged that their child will not see much of what is supposed to be set aside for the care of the child. When you see your child in raggedy clothes while the mother has on expensive clothes it sickens/enrages them. A misappropriation of child support money is a valid concern amongst the men and shouldn't be downplayed. Some do want to provide for their children, its just that they don't want to see the money wasted. Then again all of that could be prevented if folks carefully screened who they were having sex with in case the "parent" situation comes about.  ========================

Also paying child support does not equal fully taking care of a child. They need active parents as well. Folks kill me thinking that because the courts take money out of their check that the child is "taken care of". Not true at all.

I say if there is a man with a problem paying child support, then he should take custody and have the woman pay child support... My Soror's son moved in with his father when he he turned 13 and she has been paying ever since. What ev', this can be served both ways. BTW, I would hope there aren't many college graduates who are gainfully employed having babies with someone on welfare and other county assistance programs. It seems very strange that one would seriously date someone with opposing values and socio-economic situations. Then again...

BTW it takes way more than 3-500 a month to care for a child... Childcare alone costs more than that.. Besides, Rent for an extra room can cost over 500 in some cities, and food for a month for two folks is about 2-300...I can go on. It's not simple or about hair and nails; it's very expensive.

i think i could raise a kid off $300 a month.
people just spend too much on kids nowadays.
what with all the ADHD medication and buying them whatever they want and crap.
my grandma had 8
she didnt need 8*300=$2400 a month to raise them. i doubt she even made that much total in a month anyway. not back in the 1960s-70s. even accounting for inflation.
not even gonna mention great grandma-- she had like 15
